Young man dies after crash near Sleaford

His car crashed with a live poultry lorry

A man in his 20s has died after a crash on the A153 near Sleaford on Thursday morning.

Lincolnshire Police officers were called to the crash involving a white Vauxhall Corsa and a MAN HGV, which was transporting live poultry, just after 8.45am on Thursday, August 27.

It happened on Moor Lane with the junction of A153, Leasingham Moor, Sleaford.

The driver of a Vauxhall Corsa was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but police confirmed on Friday that he has since sadly died. The driver of the HGV was not injured.

Emergency services and an air ambulance were spotted at the scene and police are continuing their appeal for witnesses.

The Corsa travelled along Moor Lane to the junction of the B1209 and the HGV was travelling along the A153 towards Ruskington.
