Cyclist dies after cardiac arrest in Lincolnshire village

He died in hospital

A male cyclist has died after suffering a cardiac arrest in a Lincolnshire village.

Lincolnshire Police were called at 2.18pm on Sunday, September 20 to Lincoln Road in Caythorpe where the 41-year-old cyclist was in cardiac arrest.

The man was taken to hospital, but later died.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting incident 208 of September 20.

A spokesperson from EMAS said: “The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent two ambulances, two fast response cars and a community first responder.

“The air ambulance were also in attendance. A patient was transported by ambulance to Lincoln County Hospital.”
