Lloyds Bank closed in Grantham after COVID-19 case

A member of staff tested positive

Lloyds Banking has temporarily closed its Grantham branch after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.

All staff at the branch on St Peter’s Hill are now at home self-isolating.

The site will be deep cleaned before it reopens again, but a date has not yet been set.

A Lloyds Bank spokesperson said: “We have temporarily closed the Lloyds Bank Grantham branch to allow for the building to be cleaned, after a colleague was diagnosed with COVID-19.

“Our priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues and customers. We will continue to follow Government guidance, and have taken the precautionary steps to advise some colleagues to self-isolate.

“We will reopen the branch at the appropriate time.”

Meanwhile in the town, all Year 7 pupils, along with four staff, were sent home from King’s School after one of the students tested positive for COVID-19.
