Men ‘tried to get women in their cars’ in two Lincolnshire towns

Concerning incidents in Boston and Spalding, police said

Men in cars allegedly asked women to get into their vehicles in two incidents in Boston and Spalding on Monday.

A woman was approached on Halmer Gate in Spalding by an Asian male driving a white car at around 2pm on Monday, September 7. He asked her to get into his vehicle.

Another woman was approached on Tytton Lane West in Wyberton, Boston by a white male in a grey car, who made the same request around fifty minutes later.

Neither woman entered the vehicles and there was no attempt to physically take hold of them, with police saying “clearly these are both concerning incidents”.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is advised them on 101 or via email at [email protected] quoting incident 219 (Spalding) or 225 (Boston) of September 7.

Alternatively, it can also be reported through the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
