From overgrown to overjoyed: The remarkable revival of neglected Lincoln garden

Community trust and volunteers breathe new life into one of Lincoln’s green hearts

Lincoln’s John Dawber Garden has undergone significant transformation just a few months after a charitable trust took over the previously overgrown public space.

The garden, which opened in 1985, was once a celebration of Lincoln’s international twinning links and the work of the 18th Century Lincolnshire botanist Sir Joseph Banks. However, over time it had become overgrown and neglected.
