Lincoln’s Bailgate ‘not forgotten’ during city’s Christmas changes

The City of Lincoln Council leader has promised the Bailgate area “will not be forgotten” as the new programme of Christmas events looks to spread visitors across the city.

Many uphill businesses feared that the cancellation of the Christmas Market would see them lose out financially. Councillor Ric Metcalfe said that the council is in constant touch with the Bailgate Guild, which represents businesses in Uphill Lincoln, and that they are very much part of future plans.
