Cat rescues and charities are under ‘immense pressure’ due to a surge in unwanted and abandoned animals in Lincolnshire, with the lack of neutering believed to be the main problem.

Some shelters are being forced to turn felines away for the first time ever, with increasing numbers of cats being dumped – sometimes with their own litters.
