Neglected side streets: Lincoln businesses hit out at council for unequal regeneration efforts

One street has been compared to Beirut

Independent businesses on some of Lincoln’s side streets claim they are being overlooked and have criticised the council for concentrating its regeneration efforts elsewhere.

Shop owners located just off the High Street argue that the council’s attention and resources have been disproportionately allocated to the Bailgate and Cornhill Quarter areas of the city.
