Case cracked: Lorry driver jailed for 14 years over £4.8m cocaine haul

60kg of the drug hidden beneath the floor of the lorry

A Lithuanian lorry driver who tried to import cocaine worth £4.8 million into the UK through Lincolnshire has been jailed for 14 years.

Rimas Ekleris, 59, had 60kg of the drug hidden in his cab unit when he arrived at Immingham Dock on August 19, 2022, having travelled from Cuxhaven in Germany.
