East Lindsey council leader defends 3% tax hike amid economic pressures

East Lindsey District Council raising council tax by 3.06%

The leader of East Lindsey District Council has defended a proposed 3.06% increase in council tax for the year 2024/25, maintaining that the ongoing cost of living crisis is also impacting their budget.

The increase amounts to approximately £4.95 per year for a Band D property, equating to an additional 9.5p per week starting from April this year.
