An investigation has been launched after 15 fridges were found dumped in a Grimsby waterway.

A Grimsby man came across the fridge units dumped underneath the A180 Gilbey Road flyover. A number had been spray-painted and were in New Cut Drain.

Recycling collections in North East Lincolnshire are set to resume this week.

The council announced that after “a second positive meeting” between it and unions representing the bin workers, waste collections across the borough should resume normal service.
