Tributes for man who died in collision with police car

Tributes: Flowers, photos and messages were tied to the railings next to the spot of the crash on Carholme Road for Matthew Tuffin.

Floral tributes and messages have been paid to a man who died after his bike was in a collision with a police car on Carholme Road on Sunday.

Flowers, photos and messages were tied to the railings next to the spot of the crash for 28-year-old Matthew Tuffin of Hewson Road, Lincoln.

Tuffin was knocked from his bicycle by a marked police car and sustained serious injuries on March 27. He was rushed to Lincoln County Hospital but on March 28 was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) are investigating the crash because a police car was involved. They are appealing for witnesses.
