New cafe opens on Bailgate

Local treats: A new cafe will be opening along Bailgate this weekend, selling home-made local produce.

A new cafe will be opening along Bailgate this weekend, offering a choice of home-made, locally produced or organic treats.

The new cafe, called Grayz, will open on July 2 after extensive redecoration by owner Nola Hughes, who has lived in Lincolnshire for over 30 years.

Grayz will be filling the space Lesley’s Place on Gordon Road once filled, and is linked to a tea room on Steep Hill, Grayz on the Hill.

Hughes said: “I am thrilled to finally have acquired the lease in such an excellent location, having a business in the Bail has been a long-held ambition for me.

“I am delighted to have the opportunity to provide quality food and service to locals and visitors alike.

“Our policy will be locally sourced and organic, home-made produce whenever this is practical. Our sister tea room Grayz on the Hill […] will […] offer a larger menu but with the same ethos.”

Hughes took on the lease of the shop with help from Langleys Solicitors.
