Thieves target three city sheds overnight

Shed break-ins: Police are warning Lincoln residents after a spate of thefts from sheds in Lincoln.

Police are warning Lincoln residents after a spate of thefts from sheds, just one day after a warning regarding burglars prowling the city.

Thieves took two bikes form a shed in Bain Street, Lincoln, overnight on June 5-6.

Tools were taken from a shed in Scott Gardens and fishing tackle was also stolen from a shed in Chaucer Drive on the same night.

Officers are urging residents to make sure their sheds are locked and that windows are blocked out to prevent people seeing what is inside.

Shed owners may also consider fitting shed alarms, which are available in DIY shops and are fairly affordable. High value items and tools should be kept in people’s homes, where they are much more secure.

Anyone with any information on these crimes can call Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300.
