Police find missing local man

Missing man: Police have found Gary Betteridge after he went missing from his home on September 21.

Update on September 26 @ 9.24am: Gary Betteridge has now been found safe and well.

Police are urgently appealing for information after a Lincoln man went missing on September 21.

The man, Gary Betteridge (43), was last seen in Mansfield on Wednesday at about 9am, after leaving his Lincoln home around 8am.

He is thought to be driving a white LDV pickup, registration FX54GBF, with Forest Town Fencing written in green on the sides.

Initial enquires has failed to trace Betteridge so far, and it’s unknown where he may have travelled to after Mansfield.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned about Betteridge. He is said to be in a fragile state of mind and possibly suffering with depression.

Officers say he may well be in the Mansfield area (where he was last seen) or the wider Nottinghamshire / Lincolnshire area as he is not believed to have accessed any money or refuelled his tank.

His vehicle (similar to that in the image) has bright green lettering on the sides with the business name Forrest Tower Fencing.

Searches for this vehicle have so far failed, leading Police to believe it may be parked up in a lorry park or lay-by.

Sargent 1117 Mike Hanson and Sargent 814 Paul Pettitt are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300, quoting incident number 421 of the 21st September.
