Man charged after Lincoln fuel theft

Petrol pincher: A Lincoln man has been charged with stealing petrol from a city service station last November.

Lincolnshire Police have charged a man from Lincoln after the theft of fuel from a city petrol station.

Police charged Thomas Adam Cleaver (20) of Moorland Avenue with driving off without paying for £45.59 worth of petrol from Wragby Road Service Station on November 2, 2011.

In addition, he is charged with theft from a motor vehicle and handling stolen goods after a car’s number plates were stolen in Lincoln on the same day.

Cleaver has been bailed and will appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on February 21.
