Lincoln hospital manager helps at Olympics

Athlete’s physio: A manager and physiotherapist from Lincoln’s hospital will be playing a role in the games.

A hospital manager at Lincoln County Hospital will be using his knowledge to help at the Olympics this month.

Anthony Rosevear is a Business Manager in Orthopaedics and a fully-trained physiotherapist.

So for the entirety of the games, he will be at the Olympic Stadium overseeing track and field athletics.

He said: “I will mostly be working with athletes from less developed countries that may not have their own medical or physiotherapy support within their country’s team.

“I will be working as part of a games medical team, providing support to athletes, coaches and medical teams from different countries.

“This will involve injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation advice and also the assessment of fitness to participate.

“I’m excited to be part of the games and part of the team making it happen.”

The Olympics will run from July 27 through until August 12, and will open and close with a variety of ceremonies.
