Pilot injured after light aircraft crash at Waddington

The pilot of a light aircraft that crashed in a field near Lincoln on Saturday, August 18, is being treated for head injuries.
The aircraft took off from RAF Waddington and shortly after that it was forced to land near the A607 at Coleby at around midday on Saturday.
The pilot, believed to be in his fifties, was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with head injuries, which are not thought to be serious.
Significant damage to the aircraft was reported, while the plane was recovered by emergency services.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is now inspecting the incident.
