Lincoln chip shop celebrates 25 years in business

25 years at the top: A chippy company in Lincoln wants to celebrate its 25th by donating money to five good causes.

A popular fish and chip shop in Lincoln is celebrating 25 years in the business by raising money for local charities.

The Elite Fish and Chip Company wants to raise £25,000 for five local registered charities or good causes.

Since its opening, the chip shop has won National Fish and Chip Shop of the Year (1992), helped on the set of Channel 4’s Big Breakfast show and expanded its brand, with shops in Lincoln, Sleaford and Ruskington.

Owner Adrian Tweedale said: “Our customers enjoyment at the Elite has always been at the front of our thoughts when establishing the business.

“Our family can now provide a continuous business ethic that has stood the test of time, especially in the tough economic times all business’s are going through in the present trading climate.”

The family-run company hopes to continue giving back to the community with its latest fundraising drive.

The Elite Fish and Chip Company would like residents to send in ideas of a good cause or a registered charity who need support and would benefit most from £5,000.
