Person hit by train near Lincoln in Washingborough
A person has been hit by a train near Lincoln in Washingborough.
The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Tuesday near the rail bridge, and the train involved was the 5.20pm service from Lincoln to Sleaford.
Emergency services attended. The train was halted outside Washingborough and returned to Lincoln station for inspection and investigation.
Train services from Newark to Grimsby, Doncaster to Peterborough via Lincoln and Leicester to Lincoln are also affected.
At 7.25pm, National Rail said a normal service resumed between Lincoln Central and Sleaford.
