Lincoln council discounts parking over holidays

Parking promotions: The City Council is offering discounted rates to people parking in Lincoln over the summer.

The City of Lincoln Council is running special summer discounts in its car parks to entice people to visit the city.

There are various promotions being run through August at their car pars or partner car parks at the County Council and Sessions House at Lincoln College.

For example, at Rosemary Lane car park, motorists can park for just £2 per day until the end of August.

There are also weekend and bank holiday parking schemes at Broadgate, Rosemary Lane, the County Council Offices and Sessions House at Lincoln College, offering parking all day for £2.50.

Tentercroft Street car park runs the Savvy Shopper tariff, letting you park at the likes of Tentercroft Street for £2 from 3pm onwards.

The PayByPhone Monday incentive gives 25% off parking prices when used too.

Meanwhile, Orchard Street car park will remain open 24 hours a day while Lucy Tower car park remains closed.

Rod Williamson, City Services Team Leader at the City of Lincoln Council, said: ““The sun is out and the children are off school so it is a great time to come into the city.

“We appreciate money can be tight so are offering these schemes to help people if they are planning to come into Lincoln.

“The PayByPhone scheme runs across all of our car parks in the city, so make the most of Mondays and see what Lincoln has to offer.”

To register a vehicle for the PayByPhone scheme, log on to www.paybyphone.co.uk or follow the instructions at the car park on arrival.
