Hundreds turn up for Save Lincolnshire Libraries protest

Save Lincolnshire Libraries: Around 400 people attended a protest march in Lincoln against plans to close two thirds of libraries in the county.

Around 400 people attended a protest march in Lincoln against Lincolnshire County Council’s plans to close 32 of 45 libraries in the county, leading to some 170 job losses and some £2 million savings.

Protesters rallied in Castle Square and marched down Steep Hill, Danesgate, Clasketgate and then along Lincoln High Street, with the resting point in City Square, where speeches from campaigners were held.
