Lincoln hammer attack man charged with attempted murder

Hammer attack: A Lincoln man has been charged with attempted murder after a hammer attack outside a club.

Lincolnshire Police have charged a Lincoln man with attempted murder after a man was attacked with a hammer on Hungate at the weekend.

Police charged Kris James Bradley (22), of Kent Street, Lincoln, in relation to this incident.

As previously reported, the incident happened in the area around Home, Revolution and Sugarcubes nightclubs.

At around 12.50am on September 1, a Scunthorpe man was struck in the head with a claw hammer.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital, but then transferred to Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.

He is described as in a stable condition after his ordeal.

Detective Inspector Katrina Morton of Lincoln CID is leading the investigation. She is appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information about the incident to call the non-emergency 101 telephone number.
