Pizza Hut delivery service opens in Lincoln

New takeaway: A new Pizza Hut delivery service has opened in Lincoln.

A new food delivery service has opened in Lincoln, giving residents a slice of their favourite pizza restaurant, Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut Delivery on Newark Road opened on March 3 at midday, and will offer a wide menu of pizzas, without needing to go to the popular chain restaurant for collection.

The shop, which cost around £150,000 to fit and has so far created 30 jobs, will open between midday and 11pm daily.

Initially, it will be delivering only to the south of the city (anywhere south of the River Witham), but plans to expand the service soon.

General Manager Ian Smith said: “We decided to open a Pizza Hut Delivery in Lincoln as we saw it as a great opportunity. The city is rapidly expanding and thriving with one of the largest student populations outside the major cities.

“Our menu will be different to restaurants, we will offer different toppings for customers to add onto their pizzas.

“Although we are not sure what the most popular pizzas will be yet, we are currently in a national TV campaign for our Cheeseburger Stuffed Crust Pizza which we anticipate will be very popular.

“We will also be offering discounts and special offers which will be promoted including a ‘two for one’ pizza delivery service.”

He added: “We are still recruiting as we speak and are looking for delivery drivers to join our team.”
