Six weeks road works in Lincoln villages

Road works: Several villages around Lincoln will see some traffic delays over the next six weeks as resurfacing work takes place.

Several villages around Lincoln will see some traffic delays over the next six weeks as resurfacing work takes place.

Work will take place in Nettleham, Metheringham, North Hykeham, Branston, Thurlby, Harmston, Bassingham, Heighington, Waddington, Doddington, Eagle, Scothern, Reepham and Sudbrooke.

The resurfacing will start on Church Street in Nettleham on Sunday, March 16, and will continue until Friday, April 25.

Washingborough Road and South Park Avenue in Lincoln will also be repaired, with work taking place on Sunday, April 6.

Alan Brown, Area Highways Manager, at Lincolnshire County Council says: “Local residents and businesses that will be affected will be notified directly, in advance of the work starting.

“We have planned the work to take place at times that will cause the least disruption to motorists.

“Road closures will be necessary in most cases, and local diversions will be in place.

“Where these are not required, temporary traffic lights will be used.”

See our Lincolnshire road works interactive map for details on each of the road works, or see a full list here.
