Aspiring Lincoln comedians produce Police Interceptors spoof

Spoof series: An aspiring Lincoln comedy duo reached for their high vis jackets and cameras to produce a Police Interceptors video spoof.

An aspiring Lincoln comedy duo reached for their high vis jackets and cameras in order to produce a Police Interceptors-style video showing the lighter side of policing in Lincolnshire.

Luke Hinojosa and James Butcher (both 18) from Lincoln are hoping for a big future in comedy and video production and will be producing a series of improvised episodes.

The two friends, both 18 years old, spent three days filming and editing their spoof video, based on the popular Channel 5 Police Interceptors series, which has recently been filmed in Lincolnshire.

Luke said: James and I grew up together and something clicked between us we. We love acting together and we work so well as a pair; there are no scripts involved in what we do.

“We thought it would be an awesome idea to make a video for people to have a laugh at!

“We don’t have the best equipment available for us but we do everything ourselves. We did do make previous videos but they weren’t much of a great success.

“There wasn’t much planning into this video as most of the material is off the top of our heads, we consider ourselves to be more improvised comedy actors.

“We plan on making some more, but maybe some different kind of genres too.

“We love the editing process the most as this is when we get to see the video actually coming together. We enjoy doing what we do a lot, and we hope to have a big future out of it one day.”

Police Interceptors featuring Lincolnshire Police continues to run on Channel 5 on Mondays from 8pm.
