Popular acts Big Brovaz, X Factor’s Kitty Brucknell, Jessica Steele from The Voice and Ashley Collins from Britian’s Got Talent performed in Lincoln as part of the annual Gay Pride event.

Lincoln Pride 20 took place in City Square from 12pm and the after party at The Scene nightclub on Newland continued on until 6am.

The event was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Andrew Kerry followed by drag acts and singers.

In addition to musical performances and demonstrations from Lincoln’s roller derby team, the Lincolnshire Bombers, visitors to the event enjoyed having their faces painted and browsing over 30 stalls and fairground rides.

The Gay Pride celebrations went ahead after Lincoln residents were targeted with anti-gay leaflets earlier in the week.
