Lincoln car park evacuated after woman threatens jump

Evacuation: Broadgate car park was closed off while emergency services dealt with a serious incident.

A car park in Lincoln city centre was evacuated on Saturday after a woman attempted suicide.

The incident at Broadgate car park, on Saturday, November 22, lead to a large emergency service presence.

A woman was found standing in a dangerous position on the multi-storey car park.

As a precaution, the nearby area was evacuated and closed off.

The incident was attended by four police vehicles, two ambulances and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.

The woman was brought to safety shortly before 4.30pm, and the car park is now accessible.
