The hundreds of people who turned out for the event on September 27 enjoyed headline acts like 2 Shoes and Diva Fever, as seen on the X Factor.

Performances also featured popular drag artists and some of the cast from Sister Act The Musical, being performed at Lincoln Theatre Royal.

The pride team also hosted around 30 stalls and activities promoting inclusivity, respect and awareness.

The festival was captured on camera by media production student Chloe Ambrose, who used the event to complement her studies and to gain some real-world experience.

She said: “Being straight I would never have considered going to the Lincoln Pride Festival but after capturing the love, support, smiles and laughs I wouldn’t think twice about going again, so this is a way of saying thank you to those who put on a brave face for my camera.”
