Lincolnshire Police have launched an investigation into the death of a local man at a trailer manufacturing site in Grantham.
Officers were alerted to an incident at Fruehauf on Houghton Road at around 1.45pm on Thursday, February 18.
Early indications suggested a 64-year-old local man who worked at the site had died following a fall from a cherry picker.
The exact circumstances surrounding his death are being examined and the company are cooperating with the enquiry.
DI Simon Bromiley said: “The HSE has been informed of this incident and a joint investigation is underway.
“It’s common practice for us to work together at the early stages of an industrial accident of this nature before deciding who will lead on it.
“At this stage the investigation is attempting to clarify exactly what happened and we will report our findings to Her Majesty’s Coroner.”
