Visitors to Lincoln High Street on Sunday, June 12, were met with Mall-style scenes, as the city threw a traditional street party for the Queen’s 90th birthday.

As the heavens opened and heavy showers persisted through the afternoon, the celebrations continued unperturbed, with many enjoying cake, live performances and dancing under their brollies.

The Lincoln Business Improvement Group brought the city a taste of London with a tea party in honour of the special occasion.

The event saw a number of entertainers and charities joining together to celebrate the day and create Lincoln’s own version of The Mall in St Benedict’s Square and the High Street.

Families enjoyed the events of the day which included a tea party, stalls, music, children’s activities and an exciting bake a cake competition.
