Knitted hats donated to babies at Lincoln County Hospital

A Gainsborough sewing group has knitted dozens of hats ready for newborn babies at Lincoln County Hospital.

The Sew Social Club, which meets regularly at the Acis-owned Gainsborough Uphill Community Centre, has knitted and donated 65 hats to the Nettleham Ward at Lincoln County Hospital.

Lucy Picksley, Acis’ Community Engagement Coordinator, presented the hats to Matron for Inpatients Maternity Julie Bulteel.

Julie said: “Hats like these are really helpful as babies lose a lot of heat from their head.

“The knitted hats will help keep the babies warm and at a reasonable temperature.
