Lincoln Castle wall experience prize for lottery players

The initiative is to say thank you for help funding the castle’s refurbishment.

Lottery ticket holders can tour the historical walls of Lincoln Castle for free this December.

Ticket holders will be able to explore the Medieval Wall Walk for free from December 11 to December 15 between 10am to 4pm.

The initiative is to say thank you after the National Lottery funded £12 million towards Lincoln Castle’s £22 million refurbishment in 2015.

One ticket covers free entry to the walk for two adults or a family of five, with children aged 5 to 16.

Any National Lottery game qualifies for free entry, including scratch cards and proof can be either paper or digital.

Jon Hogan, public engagement manager, said: “Over the last few years, Lincoln Castle has been transformed into a world-class visitor attraction.

“The Heritage Lottery Fund played a major role in making that happen, and this is our way of saying thank you.”

Tickets for the Medieval Wall Walk are normally priced £3 for a child and £6 for an adult.
