Two in one night: Cars crash into Lincoln pub and North Hykeham home

A rough night not only for the two drivers.

Two cars have crashed into buildings in Lincoln and North Hykeham on Saturday night in separate incidents.

The car and pub were severely damaged, but the driver appeared unharmed.

The first incident happened shortly before 11pm on Lincoln High Street, when a car crashed into the City Vaults pub.

Eyewitnesses said the driver appeared uninjured and was able to get out of the vehicle.

The driver left the scene and investigations continue to trace what was believed to be a man.

The pub building appears severely damaged however.

There were occupants in the building but they were not injured.

The car went through the fence and into the house wall on Meadow Lane in North Hykeham.

Shortly after this incident, a second car crashed into a house, this time on Meadow Lane in North Hykeham.

Eyewitnesses say firefighters had to cut two people out of the vehicle that crashed into the fence and house wall.

Emergency services are investigating at the scene of both incidents.

Anyone who witnessed either of the incidents should call police on 101.
