She was robbed! Lincolnshire PCC intern wows audiences on The Chase

A great effort!

Taking on The Governess can be a big challenge but Lincolnshire PCC intern Candice McKane wowed viewers of The Chase with her knowledge on Thursday night.

The 22-year-old University of Lincoln graduate and intern for Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones raised £6,000 in her cash builder on the show aired on ITV on February 15.

After beating the chaser (Ann Hegerty) Candice got through to the final chase with fellow team mates John and Ekua.

The team answered 15 questions correctly, with Candice answering 10 of those herself – all in a bid to go home with £20,000 each.

Unfortunately, the team was a few questions short of a win and Ann answered all questions with 13 seconds left on the clock.

Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones posted on Twitter following the programme: “She was robbed!

“Great to see Candice, one of Lincolnshire’s OPCC interns knock it out of the park on The Chase.

“A shame that unlike at work, her ‘Chase’ teammates couldn’t support her to get the best end result.

“Great effort Candice.”
