Treasure Island panto features local actor

Panto time: Local actor Tony Fielding-Raby will return to entertain Lincoln audiences in Treasure Island the Panto in January.

Local actor Tony Fielding-Raby will play Dame in Treasure Island the Panto, to be staged at The Terry O’Toole Theatre in North Hykeham in January next year.

The play will be the first community panto to be staged at the theatre after two-year break, featuring a cast of 25, plus a live five-piece band.

Fielding-Raby is a familiar face to Lincoln audiences, as he worked with many local community theatre companies over the years, both as a director and as a performer.

“Over the years, my Dame’s corset has got a just a little tighter, and the high heels a little trickier, but there’s nothing quite like an excited pantomime matinée audience to remind you how magical an introduction to the theatre panto is for so many children,” said Fielding-Raby.

Treasure Island the Panto by Lincolnshire playwright Peta Duncombe will be on January 18 through January 22 at 7pm, with a Saturday matinée at 2.30pm.

Tickets have just gone on sale and start at £9 from The Terry O’Toole Theatre.
