Children’s festival beams despite weather

Child’s play: An annual festival is back in Lincoln, with a variety of events across the city centre.

The annual beam! children’s festival returned to Lincoln this week, with a variety of events for children and shoppers to watch or take part in.

The event is sponsored by Cool Milk, and celebrates a variety of different arts over the summer months. It also gives young people an opportunity to get involved in fun, creative activities too.

On June 30, the week-long festival kicked off with a procession winding around the city centre to the Drill Hall, combined with juggling, singing, dancing and various fun performances.

Over the rest of the week, schools from across Lincolnshire are holding performances of dance, music and theatre around the High Street, Waterside Shopping Centre and Castle Square.
