Man found dead on boat at Waterside in Lincoln

Boat death: Police are not treating the death of a man found on a boat moored at the Waterside Shopping Centre as suspicious.

Lincolnshire Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found on a boat moored at the Waterside Shopping Centre in Lincoln on Wednesday afternoon as not suspicious.

No formal identification of the man has been undertaken yet.

The local man is believed to have been 43-years-old and owned the boat. A post-mortem indicates he died of natural causes.

The body was discovered after two men observed that the man in the boat did not change position when they passed it at two different times on Wednesday.

They alerted the shopping centre security, who found the man’s body in the boat. Police then attended the call at around 4.30pm.
