New Lincoln Waterside food court opens

Improved food court: Waterside Shopping Centre’s food court has been moved and given a revamp.

The food court in Lincoln’s Waterside Shopping Centre has been moved and revamped, as part of a large renovation project.

The new food court on the lower (Waterside) level of the shopping centre means a move for Burger King and Caffe Italiano, but now shoppers can also sit outdoors during the warmer months and extended hours for Burger King.

The large hoarding depicting Lincoln Cathedral was also taken down so shoppers could use the new escalators.

Roy Greening, General Manager at the Waterside Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to announce that the food offer has reopened following its winter refurbishment, it now looks fresh and modern – and when the weather is nice, shoppers will be able to enjoy their lunch or a cup of coffee outside looking onto the waterfront.

“In the past couple of months we have seen huge changes at the Waterside.

“It is wonderful to see the centre transform as we come to the end of the first phase in our redevelopment and begin working towards the arrival of H&M and Next in autumn.”

The Waterside is undergoing a £9 million refurbishment by owners Capital & Regional to improve shopping experience, with H&M and Next expected to move in by the end of year, when the extensive work will be complete.
