Seven arrested as police disrupt rave in Lincolnshire

Rave, disrupted: Police arrested seven people and seized two vehicles during a rave on farmland in Lincolnshire.

Police arrested seven people and seized two vehicles during a rave on farmland in Lincolnshire.

The rave started on land off Fen Road in Dunsby, near Bourne, in the south of the county, at around 11pm on Saturday, January 25.

Police say at its peak, between 200 and 300 people attended the rave, which caused a significant amount of noise disruption to people living in the area.

However, there were insufficient police resources on duty to disrupt the gathering safely while it was at its peak, the force said.

Officers had to contain and monitor the event throughout the night.

But at around 2.30pm on Sunday officers entered the site and closed the rave down.

Seven people were arrested and two cars and sound systems were seized.

The people arrested are currently being questioned, police said.

This is the latest rave police disrupted in the county. In late November, Lincolnshire Police prevented some 400 people to attend an illegal rave near Lincoln.
