More than 8,500 parking fines have been issued on just 10 streets in Lincolnshire in the past year — with four of the streets in Lincoln.
With data from the Civil Parking Enforcement team at Lincolnshire County Council, The Lincolnite compiled this list of the most ticketed streets in the county.
The Lincolnshire streets with the most parking fines are:
1. Silver Street, Lincoln
The Lincolnshire street with the most parking tickets is in Lincoln. There were 1,732 fines issued on Silver Street, of which 417 for parking in disabled bay, 312 for parking in a loading bay and 259 for parking in a taxi rank. Three more Lincoln streets are in the top 10.

2. Market Place, Boston
Boston has two appearances in the top 10, the first in second place with 1,334 fines issued on Market Place, of which 894 were for parking in a restricted street.

3. Eastgate, Louth
Louth has just one street in the top 10, Eastgate, where 876 fines were issued, 461 for the wrong class of vehicle.

4. St Paul’s Street, Stamford
Stamford has two streets in the fines rankings. St Paul’s Street had 839 fines, 830 for parking in a restricted street.

5. Broad Street, Stamford
Stamford’s second appearance in the top 10 is Broad Street, with 786 fines, 565 of which were for parking longer than permitted.

6. Wide Bargate, Boston
Boston’s second place in the list is for Wide Bargate, where 724 fines were issued, 346 of which were for parking in a disabled person’s space.

7. Portland Street, Lincoln
There were 596 parking fines issued on Portland Street in Lincoln, the second most ticketed street in the city. 409 fines were for parking longer than permitted.

8. Southgate, Sleaford
Sleaford doesn’t miss the top 10 either with 563 fines on Southgate, 298 for the wrong class of vehicle and 196 for parking in a loading place.

9. Grantham Street, Lincoln
Lincoln’s third most ticketed street is Grantham Street between Danesgate and The Collection, with 560 fines, 201 for parking for too long, 137 for parking in a disabled spot and 183 for parking in bus reserved areas.

10. Corporation Street, Lincoln
Although it is a very short street, Corporation Street in Lincoln is the city’s fourth most ticketed street and the 10th in the county with 503 tickets, of which 238 are for the wrong class of vehicle and 197 for parking in a loading place.
