A man who was hit by a train in the Doddington Road area of Lincoln on the morning of Friday, November 6 has sadly died.
As previously reported, the man was struck at around 9am. Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are working to identify him and inform his family.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Our officers were called to a line close to Doddington rail crossing on Friday, November 6, to reports of person struck by a train.
“The call came into police shortly after 9am.
“Colleagues from Lincolnshire Police and paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service attended.
“Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers will now work to identify the man and inform his family.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
