Nominations open for second Lincolnshire Digital Awards

Bigger and better: The Lincolnshire Digital Awards is returning for a second year to celebrate the most innovative digital companies across the county.

Nominations are officially open for the Lincolnshire Digital Awards, which is returning for a second year to celebrate the most innovative digital companies across the county.

April 28 will see Lincolnshire’s best creative and innovative businesses rewarded for their hard work and will provide a full evening of digital entertainment, including a never-seen before stage show put together by local talents.

More than 160 people attended the inaugural award ceremony at Doubletree by Hilton in Lincoln in 2015.

This year, organisers Lincolnshire Business magazine are anticipating an even bigger audience and will be kicking off the celebrations at the Engine Shed on the University of Lincoln’s Brayford campus.

Nominations will be collated for a mix of new and old categories including Digital Business of the Year, Best Digital Marketing Campaign, Best Digital Entrepreneur, Best Digital Start-Up, Best Website Design, Best e-Commerce Website, Best App and Best Innovation Award.

Entries will be judged by a panel of experts in the field including Peter Cooper from Cooper Press, Matt Russell from Namecheap, Neil Everatt from Software Europe, Rosa Glover from Capital Enterprise and Rona Mackenzie from Lincoln UTC, with more to be announced.

Dean Graham, Associate Publisher of Lincolnshire Business, said: “We had a fantastic inaugural event which exceeded everyone’s expectations. This year the plan is to showcase even more home-grown digital talent at a venue twice the size of last year’s.

“I’d like to extend my gratitude to the judges who have offered to give their time and expertise to be on our judging panel for an array of eight awards including a couple of new categories to represent the growing creative industry within the county.

“Tickets all sold out within a week in 2015 so if you’re interested in attending please get in touch early to reserve your tickets.”
