The designs have been revealed for the UK's for shopping centre waterslide.
Visitors to Waterside shopping centre this summer could have the chance to shoot down a spiraling 10m waterslide into the River Witham should planners get the green light.
Developers are proposing a three-storey slide, joining the ever-popular Lincoln By The Sea beach for the ultimate summer fun centre.
If approved, the slide would start near Next, from a newly installed launch gazebo, before twisting over pedestrians down into the River Witham beside City Square.
The City of Lincoln Council’s planning committee is set to discuss the application at 10am on April 1.
Mary-Jane Booth, Marketing & Promotions Co-ordinator for Waterside Shopping, said:
“What better way to complement Lincoln BIG’s annual Lincoln By The Sea beach then with a Waterside waterslide?
“We couldn’t be more excited about our application because, if approved, our slide will send riders on a twisting, turning adventure like they’ve never experienced before – offering shoppers even more reason to visit us this summer!”
Waterside Shopping is working with an American architectural firm based in Gotya, Massachusetts and is the first UK shopping centre to put an application in for such a development.

New research shows that 81% of people admitted they hate the winter season. According to a poll of 2,000 by the Post Office, dark mornings (49%), slipping on ice (44%), and having a cold face (41%), runny nose (38%), and paying the heating bills (34%) are considered the worst things about winter.
