A board member from the trust in charge of Lincolnshire hospitals and a leading campaigner will debate live the controversial overnight closure of Grantham A&E.

Mark Brassington, chief operating officer at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Jody Clark, founder of the Fighting 4 Grantham Hospital campaign group, will face questions from readers in a live chat on Facebook from 11.30am on Wednesday, November 16.

The web chat will be live streamed on the Lincolnshire Reporter Facebook page, and shared on The Lincolnite, thereby reaching over 80,000 in the county.

As previously reported, the A&E department at Grantham Hospital will remain closed overnight from 6.30pm to 9am until at least February 2017.

Two large marches have taken place in the town since the overnight closure was implemented, and campaigners have vowed to keep demonstrating against the decision.
