May 29, 1937. RAF Empire Air Day in Grantham.

First impressions show that Grantham is air minded.

1976

This video was filmed when news came in that textile giant Courtaulds was closing its Wolsey factory in Grantham.

The job of speaking up for the town was taken up by the Wolsey women, who were in a fighting mood and preparing for a sit-in protest.
