For people around the world, last night was a rare chance to see the supermoon as it came closer to earth than it has in decades.

On Monday, November 14, the moon looked 14% bigger and 30% brighter than an average full moon.

This was first time people have seen the supermoon since January 1948 and the next will not be visible until November 25, 2034.

While many sky gazers had their views hampered by thick cloud, some lucky photographers in Lincolnshire managed to get some great pictures of the celestial event.
