A woman has been seriously injured after a car collided with her while she was walking along a rural road in North Lincolnshire.

The collision involving a red Rover occurred on the B1208 Brigg Road near Broughton at around 8.10am on Wednesday, October 26.

The woman suffered multiple fractures and was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment where she was said to be in a stable condition.

The road was closed until midday to allow for police officers to examine the scene.

A white van passed through in the direction of Wressle shortly before the crash.

Police would like to speak to the van driver, who they believe may remember the pedestrian walking along the road.

Anyone with information should contact Sergeant Ian Foster of Humberside Police on 101, referring to log 80 of October 26.
