Parts of Lincolnshire could be hit by 60mph winds on Wednesday morning, forecasters have warned.

The Met Office has issued a weather warning valid from 1am to 11am on Wednesday, January 11.

The northern part of Lincolnshire is most likely to be affected by the strong winds, with places such as Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Market Rasen and Brigg within the warning zone.

The gusts could move as far south as Lincoln and Woodhall Spa, but are likely to not be as strong on most of the Lincolnshire coast and the south of the county.

Forecasters from the Met Office have said that some disruption to road travel is likely.

A separate weather warning for snow by the Lincolnshire coast is valid for later this week.
