Plans have been submitted for a residential space above a Boston shopping centre to be transformed into a hotel.

The proposals lodged by County Hall Hotel Ltd would see space above the Waterfall Plaza on Bank Street transformed from flats into a hotel.

According to the plans, the hotel would have 33 bedrooms and would form part of the County Hall annex.

The shopping centre, which officially opened in December 2016, has 18 units all of which are occupied by local, independent businesses.

The Waterfall Plaza has a range of shops including Fruit and Bloom, The Coffee Hut and Gizmo’s.

Councillors on Boston Borough Council’s planning committee will make a decision on the proposals at a later date.
